The land is so important to the Logans because that is all they have other than the house. They depend on the land because they have a whole forest and a cotton field to sell and produce cotton. They love the land because the children grew up on the land and they live off of the land from the animals and selling the cotton for extra money. The Logans are one of the only black families with over three hundred acres of land. The Logans are a very disrespected family by the Grangers and the Wallaces so, the other white families are constantly trying to sabotage the land.

the land is not the only thing they have they also have each other. some evidence that supports that is papa burned some of the cotton for them. Also they dont sabatoge the land they try to buy it.

well micheal i feel as if they see the land as family not as a peice of property they live on it they sleep on it they depend on it it makes food for them it makes money for them it raises they thats how they suvive
