The Character I respect the most is Cassie because without Cassie you would not know a lot of the issuese that are going on with life. If it was not for Cassie you would not find ¨Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry¨ intresting at all. Also Cassie is going through a lot of stress about what the Sims did to her up in Srawberry and how Big Ma did not back Cassie up. So since then she has tricked Lillien Jean in to pretending to be her friend to get her secrets which works. So one day after school she take Lillien Jean to tn forest to show her a ¨surprise¨ even tho it was to beat her up as payback from Stawberry and threats to tell all her secrets if she tells anyone what happened. So it takes a lot of work and courage to be like Cassie so that is why I respect Cassie the most.

I disagree because I feel that Papa needs the most respect. He comes over to see his family when they are in trouble. He also stays along with them to support them. A big reason is also that he works to pay the mortgage and to give his family support. This all shows that Papa needs the most respect out of all the characters on ROT.

I slightly disagree with you on this. Cassie is the one who gives the reader most of the information on what is going on, but that's only because she eavesdrops a lot; and I don't think anyone likes an eavesdropper. I understand that this is your opinion, and that everyone deserves to be respected, but Cassie doesn't really show that she is capable of being respected. That fight of revenge she got herself into, that wasn't very responsible of her. She could've made it easier and just told everyone about her secrets, but instead she just fought for her victory and respect; respect shouldn't be forced or fought for.

I agree with Arielle. Since Cassie eavesdrops and doesn't listen to directions and orders given by authority, she should not be earning respect and trust. She should be losing it. If she wanted to be respected, she would listen to peoples instruction instead of her own willful self. One example of this is when Mama tells the children not to go to the Wallace store, but when Stacey goes up to find T.J., Cassie follows to see what happens. She is only interested in the outcome of the fight, not what could happen if the Wallaces find out the Logan children were staging brawls. This not only makes Cassie an eavesdropper and disobedient, it makes her sort of selfish. She is only thinking about what she wants, not the consequences of her actions.
